Melvins White tea comes from the same plant as black and green tea, Camellia sinensis. The difference is, it is harvested much earlier than other teas, before the leaves are fully open and the tea buds are still covered by fine white hair. Melvins Orthodox white tea has a paler colour and less aroma than black and green tea. Its flavour is light and slightly sweet. Brewed properly, it has no bitterness or aftertaste.
